[/color] is a semi-sandbox site with a member driven, member participation plot. What does this mean for you? It means that your participation in any plot is up to you, the member, and the character you create! We have an overarching idea that can effect each character in whatever way the role player sees fit! We also host monthly site events that members can participate in, run themselves, and enjoy! Earn knuts by participating and creating/managing your own site event too!
Current Plot:
There has been nothing but peace in the UK since the Wizarding War and many advances in magical technology. Wizards can send messages via portable Hoot devices (they look and act like magical parchment and have a special quill for messaging) and have recently introduced Hoots2 - an upgraded version of the original version. Wizards watch movies, have their television programs, and are almost moving as fast as their Muggle counterparts. This peace has helped quell a lot of house bias and anti-muggle sentiments. But, that doesn’t mean there isn’t unrest in the magical community.
Two years after the cure of APV, whispers of an investigation are coming from small communities within the UK. A demand is growing to see if Bovander handled the cure correctly and if there could have been steps taken to do things to stop the spread faster. Calling themselves Curers, this small group of wizards who have lost important members of their family are getting vocal and aggressive with their views. But, to most, they are an anonymous, faceless group of people who are using this new technology to spread their messages and concerns. It hasn’t been enough and they’re looking to change the community’s perspective on them and the so-called cure.
Meanwhile, at Hogwarts, there has been a lot of political unrest among the administration and control of the students. During Ministry Day in April 2017, multiple groups of students were caught causing trouble around the Ministry. From sex in a lift to jinxing toilets and everything in between, it has become clear that things at Hogwarts aren’t going as planned - even with the new Headmistress’s best efforts. Current Head of the Department of Education has sent a small group of representatives to help enforce some new rules and more control at the school. As unhappy as the Headmistress is, the students are even more upset as they find their freedom being trod on.
The Curers
Leader: Reserved, Head of Department of Education
Associate: Stella Martinez, Curse Breaker / Alexander Tripp, unemployed
Members: Currently looking for students who are politically active and believe there is a conspiracy going on, students who are good with technology, adults who are good with technology and have lost loved ones, and people who hate the Ministry. Needed: A Daily Prophet writer (perhaps an associate editor), multiple Ministry employees, a recent graduate who’s returning to Hogwarts to enforce the rules, and perhaps people in various tech industries. Not necessarily evil, but vocal in their beliefs and that the Ministry is wrong.
Mission: Curers are out to prove that the cure for APV wasn’t handled the way it should have been. They believe that by infiltrating the Ministry, Gringotts, St. Mungo’s, and Hogwarts that they will learn everything they can about APV, how the disease progressed and if the Ministry was in on Ylva’s mission. They believe it was to try and get rid of parts of the magical population and want to prove that everything should have been handled better. As they grow in membership, real meetings will surface and they will do everything to grow their influence.
